Students Spend the Day at French Gourmet Festival near Paris |
Wednesday, 17 September 2014 |
On September 13, all AGS students, new and continuing, graduate and undergraduate, were invited to spend the day in the charming town of Antony near Paris, at the annual Wine and Cheese Festival (Foire aux Fromages et aux Vins). This is a festive event where everyone can enjoy tastings of all kinds, cooking lessons, games, music and dance in honor of French 'produits du terroir'. This day trip is organized every year by the AGS Graduate Student Association to celebrate the start of the Fall semester. It is a nice way to introduce the new students to the tasty wonders of the country that they will get to call home for the next few months or years. Emirjona CakeAlbania, United States The connections and networks I created at AGS, both with professors and fellow students, have been rewarding, providing me with access to distinguished thinkers and an extensive array of intellects whom I can call friends. AGS provided the base that I needed to catapult myself into the field of International Relations, helping me to gain access to such International Organizations as UNESCO, and allowing me to present at their contemporary and stimulating annual conference.
