Dr. McGiffen to Participate in Workshop on European Politics in Stockholm |

Dr. Steve McGiffen will address a workshop in Stockholm (Sweden) about European politics and the current condition of the left in government and opposition. The workshop is organized by the Swedish Labour Education Association on Saturday November 28th. Dr. McGiffen's contribution is entitled 'Swimming Against the Tide: the Success of the Dutch Socialist Party in the First Decade of the 21st Century'. A paper with the same title will be published at the same time in Swedish translation by the Swedish journal Socialistisk Debatt. |

Moving to Paris has taken a top rank amongst the most challenging things I have experienced in life so far. AGS – the classes, my colleagues, and the school staff – provided for me a sanity that I had lost! This program is phenomenal and is giving me opportunities to do some really cool things, such as being invited to intern for a summer at a school/community outreach program in Tanzania.
